Qingyang Temple, Chengdu


Qingyang Temple, Chengdu better known as QingYang Gong Taoist Temple, Chengdu, is one of the important Taoist temples situated in the Sichuan province in southwest China. Taoism flourished in this ancient city of Chengdu and the temples tell oodles about the tradition and the customs of the Taoists. Qingyang Temple, Chengdu is no exception.

The Chengdu region is famous for the Taoists temples as also for astoundingly beautiful natural surroundings. Qingyang Temple, Chengdu has another name too. That is the 'Grey sheep' temple. Red and purple colors commemorate the life and death of the founding father of the sect.

Hall of Three Purities, houses three towering golden statues of the Celestial Worthies and smaller statues of illustrating Taoist stories, and is indeed one of the most exciting things to see in Qingyang Temple, Chengdu. There is a tea shop too within the Qingyang Temple, Chengdu where you can sit and spend time.
